1. Start at Sayulita’s main plaza — the town’s central square.
2. Head west on José Mariscal Street and continue onto Revolución Avenue, walking toward the road that leads to Punta de Mita.
3. Walk along Camino Punta de Mita for about 5–10 minutes (roughly 400 meters).
4. Look for a stone road on your right with a sign that says “Punta Sayulita” — take that road.
5. Follow the cobblestone road until it turns into a dirt path. If you’re driving, this is where you should park.
6. Continue walking down the dirt trail through the jungle for around 10–15 minutes. You’ll hear the ocean getting closer.
7. When you see a side path to the right that slopes gently downhill, take it — that’s your final stretch.
8. Keep walking a few more minutes and you’ll reach Playa Patzcuarito, a secluded beach with golden-black sand and zero crowds.
